Former Florida Sen. Bob Graham, co-chairman of the White House commission investigating the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico,
is a busy person. He already has a commission gig: membership on the
special panel investigating the financial crisis that sent the country
into recession. During several interviews last week, Graham said he's
been assured that the oil spill commission will have subpoena power,
though he's not sure he'll need it. Graham said on CBS that he isn't
looking for the commission to recommend the end of deepwater drilling.
"We will investigate what has happened both before, during the
explosion, and subsequent to the explosion, and then make
recommendations as to what we think will be necessary for the United
States to continue to have a deepwater oil drilling industry," he said.
