He owes more than $400,000, lender says
A mortgage company has filed suit to foreclose on the Kenner home of former Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard and his ex-wife, Karen.

It asks Judge Hans Liljeberg to direct the Sheriff's Office to seize then sell the home to pay the mortgage principal amount of almost $405,000, plus more than $2,800 in late fees, court costs and attorney fees of 15 percent.
Broussard could not immediately be reached for comment today. His attorney, Michael Ellis, would not discuss it.
The suit comes five months after Broussard put the house up for sale. Four days later, he resigned from office amid a federal criminal investigation into his administration.
