- Four public hearings have been scheduled on new flood-insurance maps for Jefferson Parish. Andrea Shaw reports that more than 47,000 properties are losing their high-risk designation, which could mean lower premiums for those owners, but 5,346 properties are being moved into designated flood zones and could be subject to higher insurance costs.

- An investigator with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission plans to meet with 16 people in Jefferson Parish government as part of the agency's examination of a harassment and wrongful termination claim filed by former chief administrative assistant Heather Hilliard.
