WASHINGTON - The National Automobile Dealers Association announced it will hold its 2014 convention and expo in New Orleans from January 24-January 27. Its 2013 convention in Orlando last February drew 21,000 participants, according to the association.

It's the 10th time the group association will hold its annual confab in New Orleans.

"New Orleans looks better than it ever has," said Desmond Roberts, chairman of NADA's convention committee. "The city has been through a lot, but it too has rebounded and thrived just like the auto industry. It's fitting to be in a city as tough and determined as our industry."

The association, which advocates and lobbies for U.S. car dealers, has reserved 33 hotels for the New Orleans convention. It is based in the Washington D.C. suburb of McLean, Va.

Most of the events will be held at The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The headquarters hotels are the Hilton Riverside and Windsor Court.
