The French Quarter's restaurant scene could soon be welcoming a trio of newcomers as three projects go before the Vieux Carre Commission Architectural Review Committee at its Tuesday (June 25) meeting.
The projects include:
411 Bourbon: Moe Bader, owner, and John Williams, architect, have applied to renovate the building in conjunction with a proposed change of use from a nightclub to restaurant. Bader owns Oceana Grill, featured on a 2011 episode of the Fox Network's "Kitchen Nightmares," starring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey. The Bourbon Street location was most recently home to the Little Darlings strip club.
510 Toulouse: Mike Zapardo, owner, and Timothy Terrell, architect, have applied to renovate the building in conjunction with a change of use from vacant to restaurant.
622 Conti: Gregory St. Angelo, owner, and Joel Dondis, the applicant, have applied to make exterior modifications in conjunction with a change of use from vacant to restaurant. Dondis owns and operates a number of restaurants including Grand Isle, La Petite Grocery and Sucre. Andrew Jaeger's House of Seafood formerly occupied the space.
