Lee-Sheng said this afternoon that City Bar, 3515 Hessmer Ave., is "probably one of the nicer clubs in Fat City." Nonetheless, she said, state regulators on Sept. 4 cited four people there for serving alcohol to minors.

As a result, she said, the Parish Council plans Sept. 22 to refer the business' alcoholic beverage license to a committee for review, including possible revocation.

That's the same day the council is scheduled to consider her comprehensive plan to remake Fat City.

A recording on City Bar's telephone says the business is open Thursdays through Saturdays. It was not taking messages today.

A spokesman for the state Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control did not immediately return phone and e-mail messages.
