New Orleans City Councilwoman Kristin Palmer is holding a town hall meeting tonight at Oak Park Baptist Church in Algiers to discuss economic development and the Oct. 2 ballot proposal that would create a citizens advisory panel for the New Orleans Recreation Department.
The swing set at NORD's Digby Playground in eastern New Orleans lacked swings in January.The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the church at 1110 Kabel Drive. Co-hosting the meeting with Palmer with be Councilmembers-at-large Arnie Fielkow and Jackie Clarkson.
Updates are expected to be provided on a number of Algiers projects including federal City, the Lakewood golf resort, the Keep Algiers Clean initiative and blight.
