District One Commissioner Eric Skrmetta, R-Metairie, was elected as the chair and District Four Commissioner Clyde Holloway, R-Forest Hill, was elected vice chair of the five-member commission. Former Chairman Foster Campbell, D-Bossier City, seconded the motion to elect Skrmetta and Holloway as the new leadership.
The Wednesday meeting was also the first for new District Two Commissioner Scott Angelle, R-Breaux Bridge, who replaced long-time Commissioner Jimmy Field, R-Baton Rouge.
