Incoming St. Tammany Parish Assessor Louis Fitzmorris will be the guest speaker at the Nov. 12 general membership meeting of the Concerned Citizens of Lacombe. The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the John Davis Community Center.
Louis Fitzmorris Fitzmorris, currently the mayor of Abita Springs, becomes assessor on Jan. 1 after defeating longtime incumbent Patricia Schwarz Core in a November 2011 election. He will speak to the group and answer questions.
The organization also will discuss topics including its fight to keep a waste-transfer station out of the area, storm surge protection/FEMA response and coordination in Lacombe, and the incorporation of Lacombe.
Red beans and rice and a drink will be served at no charge to those attending the meeting, the organization said.
