Tickets are still available for the annual Governor's West Bank Luncheon on Monday at the Alario Center. The event, dubbed the largest business meeting on the West Bank, is sponsored by the Harvey Canal Industrial Association, the Jefferson Chamber, the Algiers Economic Development Foundation and the Plaquemines Association of Business and Industry.
The cost is $40 each or a table of eight for $320. Doors open at 11 a.m., with a buffet lunch served at 11:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit Cafe Hope, a Marrero-based culinary arts program that teaches troubled youth life skills.
